Why Jupiter X is Our Preferred WordPress Theme
There are many free WP themes to start experimenting with. After that - Jupiter X is our way to go!
Since WordPress has become more popular and widely recognized as a more user and budget-friendly option for website development, an almost overwhelming number of cool and functional themes has been made.
Although you can create a nice looking website using one of the free themes, decidedly there are many perks to getting a paid one. In this article, we’ll get into the advantages a paid theme has to offer, and we’ll also get into details about one multifunctional theme, which we usually recommend to our clients.
Paid vs. Free theme
Generally speaking, aside from the price, the main differences between paid and free themes is in the level of customization, overall functionality, and product support. From our experience, for a more secure website with a cool and functional design, a paid theme is preferable.
We’ll lay out some of the pros and cons of both paid and free themes:
Paid
- Detailed documentation and reliable support
- Full customization of typography and colors
- A wide variety of pre-made templates and demos
- Third-party integrations
- Wide plugin compatibility (sometimes with integrated premium plugins coming for free with the theme)
- You can typically rely on far more regular updates to keep your theme secure and compatible with plugins and WordPress versions
- They can be pretty expensive, but at least you buy it once
- With most you can only activate the theme on 1 website to use its full functionality and automatic updates
Free
- It’s a great start if you’re just starting to work with WordPress
- You can experiment with different things without having to pay anything
- Typically produced by independent developers, with limited or no support (with few exceptions)
- Offer limited typography & color customization
- Limited number of pre-made templates or demos
- Limited integrations with third-party services (like Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel) & limited plugin compatibility generally
- Updates can be few and far between

Now that you’ve read more about what differentiates the two types, it should come as no surprise why we, as professional WordPress website creators, recommend paid themes to our clients. It’s simply better to have full control over the design and functionality of the website.
During our work, we’ve come across many paid themes. Most of them offer quality content and features, so it really depends on our clients’ needs. That being said, we do have one favorite that we always circle back to.

One of the reasons we stick with this theme is that we can rely on its developers to keep it updated, well documented and regularly upgraded with more cool plugins and features!
We’ll go into detail about our most used paid plugins in a separate article, but we have to mention Jet Engine, Jet Elements and Jet Smart Filters among others from the same plugin group, which come for free now with Jupiter X. In our opinion, they are some of the best multipurpose plugins that we’ve started using recently.
Jet Elements works with Elementor and offers a variety of widgets that help you easily create and design different types of content.
Jet Engine allows you to build custom post types and taxonomies with as many custom fields as you need, and then create beautiful listings using dynamic elements with ease. Once you set up your custom post type you can create multiple listings with different designs and all of it needs to be set up only once – after that all content gets generated automatically on the page with your listings.
Jet Smart Filters helps you create custom filters for all kinds of content – WooCommerce products, Jet Engine listings or regular posts and helps visitors navigate through your website’s content as fast as possible.
The only thing we must admit is not the greatest lately is the support. When we started using it, it was great, but we think they kinda grew in terms of customers and team and lately are a bit slower to respond. Don’t get us wrong – it’s still very good, just not as it used to be 🙂
Overall, Jupiter X is a wonderful tool for creating fully responsive, customized, and functional websites. It’s many features and constant upgrades make it easier to keep up with web design trends. Furthermore, it gives us the freedom to realize our clients’ vision and design with little to no coding but also allows us to easily add code for more complicated projects.
Here are some projects that we’ve done using Jupiter X that you can check out:
After using this theme for multiple projects we can say for sure that the whole package is definitely worth the price.
